Free U-Style Theme for Blackberry Curve/8800

There have been releases of many interesting themes with animations and designs. This is yet another brand new style that hasn’t been created before. This is probably the ultimate zen style theme available right now. It works on OSv4.2 and OSv4.5, but watch out v4.5 can be buggy….I downloaded this theme on my OSv4.5 and some of the icons are missing unfortunately. Lucky v4.2 users!!!

Free Official Blackberry Curve theme from RIM

Rim has released yet another amazing theme for the Blackberry Curve. Unfortunately if you upgraded your OS to the new v4.5, your Blackberry Curve will not be able to run this theme (this includes me!). 😦 It is really sleek zen style theme.

How to Install/Upgrade your Blackberry OS

These directions I pulled and modified from the Pinstack forums, I always refer to them when upgrading my OS on my Blackberry since they are legitimate and work:

Follow these instructions and you should be able to have OS 4.x working for you too.

1.) BACK UP YOUR DATA! – I can’t stress how important it is to get a good backup in the event you need to retore your data.

2.) Download lastest OS 4.x

3.) Install 4.x using the .exe file you just downloaded.

4.) Delete the ‘Vendor.xml’ file ( C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader ) Or search your computer’s hard drive for the “vendor.xml” file. Once you find it, delete it.

5.) Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable. 

6.) Open Desktop Manager. It should recognize that there is an upgrade for your device. (‘Vendor.xml’ must be deleted for this step to work) Follow the prompts and you will have OS 4.x installed in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Official OS v4.5.0.37 released

 A new OS v4.5.0.18 (through Vodafone) was released last week. well a newer OS has been officially released. There are not relative differences except for the new OS v4.5.0.37 is supposedly more stable and less buggy. it is also available now for Pearl, 8800 series and 8310. 

Sorry 8300 users…..if you are new to Blackberry, to check your current OS that you are running: (options/about) in your Blackberry settings should locate it. 

I highly recommend downloading the new OS because of…. 

• Youtube video streaming
• video record
• newer better browser (looks more real, with a mouse/cursor)
• newer fonts
• better email design when reading emails
• overall faster/better/stronger/newer OS for you BB.

ive included links to the new OS. MAKE SURE you download the correct OS for your BB according to your blackberry model. 

P.S do not worry that it is under the Vodafone carrier. the carrier does not matter for OS install..it will still work for ATT or whatever carrier…

Free Official Blackberry theme: Stargazer

The quarter has ended and that means more NerdyConnie posts! 🙂 Research in Motion has released another official theme. It is always nice to download themes/apps that have the Blackberry stamp of approval. This one is extremely cutesy/girly so it is for the ladies. I love it because it is available for the Curve or the Pearl, as long as you are running OSv4.2… 

If you have already installed the new os4.5, this theme is not available for you then. I can’t wait for the new Plazmic Theme builder to be released 🙂

Free Mario Theme for Blackberry Curve

Nancydrew has released another amazing theme for your Blackberry curve. Its nothing like i have ever seen before. Definitely a fun nerdy way to dress up your blackberry, especially if you love Mario. :0)
