Peek: Email Only Please

August 28, 2008

this stylish looking little device reminds of the pager days. It is from the company Peek and it is going to be selling at Target for as little as 99$. The electronic gadget’s only feature will be email and will run on T-mobile’s data network. Unlimited email service on this little guy will be just 20$ monthly. the full QWERTY keyboard looks pretty fun to write and respond to emails on.  It is a unique idea, but I don’t know if i would buy it. Why not shell out 150$ for a blackberry? If this compact trinket peeks your interest, www.getpeek.com

August 10, 2008

i’ve been using Viigo for quite some time now. its a great application to utilize when I am in a waiting room or i have  a few minutes to waste.  why i have not posted about impressive this application yet is beyond me. Viigo has recently released a beta of their newly upgraded app. they made some changes and i am definitely enjoying it. Viigo is basically THE premier rss reader/newsfeeder to have for your blackberry. it is absolutely free (which makes it even more AWESOME). you can customize the newsfeeds to what you are interested in and the new beta application even allows you to add weather updates and Olympics 2008 information and sports scores as well!

Pandora: free internet radio

August 10, 2008

I recently stumbled on my new favorite thing. I kept hearing from friends and colleagues about a new application available on the iPhone that allows you to listen to a radio station that you create called Pandora. the idea sounded familiar to Last.fm. Pandora is basically a free streaming radio station that allows you to create a radio station for yourself based on your favorite artist. Pandora then plays other songs that are similar to your favorite artist. it is a great way to find new artists that you like. not only is it available on your iphone, but you can listen on your computer through your web browser. i started using it tonight and i am definitely addicted!
